On this site, including the on-line store, there will be many pictures in color.
The colors represented can not be guaranteed as being accurate for technological reasons.
Modern digital cameras [we use a Nikon] have automatic white balancing. Even
when the camera is set to the lighting conditions, the camera adjusts to make white appear white [and thus other colors accurate
also. However, for example, it is unlikely that fluorescent lighting where the picture is taken is exactly like those in the
plant where the camera was made.
Computer screens [displays] also interpret the colors. On many “glass”
CRTs as well as many “flat panel” displays there are many different manual adjustments that are set at the factory
and that can be overridden by the user or a technician, causing colors to be different [corrected or otherwise] than it would
otherwise be displayed. In addition, Windows and other operating systems have ways for the user to change, or correct, the
appearance of colors. In Windows, this is generally under “Control Panel”, “Display”.
After you have used a site repeatedly, you may feel comfortable with the color
settings on your computer.
If you are trying to match some fabric that you already own, and are concerned
about the color, stop by our store or request a sample of the fabric to be sent to you.
