Information provided to Forever In
Stitches, LLC, is not sold, traded, or supplied to others. In order to help assure this privacy, Forever In Stitches,
LLC does employ an encryption service for access to the on-line store.
Forms filled out on the web-page is sent via e-mail
to our personnel. E-mails are also sent from the site to our personnel. E-mails in general have low security and should not
contain a complete/completing set of identifying information [name, address, phone, driver's license, Social Security number,
maiden names, etc.], credit card information, or bank transfer information as e-mails are able to be intercepted.
The
on-line shop is secure and encrypted. It could be considered as safe as or safer than normal in-store credit card
transactions. However, as with all processing of information, others do have access to the data in it's encrypted and unencrypted
form. For example, the firm hosting this site; the credit card companies, and the phone and cable companies transmitting the
information. This also applied to the employees, contractors, and subcontractors. Each of these companies has their own privacy
rules and legal boundaries they must observe.
We recommend that you take prudent precautions when dealing with web-sites for purchases.
For example, you must enter credit card information for a purchase, and once your order is processed in the shop, it is deleted
from the on-line store. Also, our customer information on the web does not contain credit card or bank information, only the
particular order, which is subsequently deleted.
What Can You Do?
You will notice that when you are on our web-site the address begins with
"http://" This indicates that a transaction is not incrypted [mathmatically scrambled] and thus
able to be read when intercepted by others not part of your intended connection.
On the other hand, when you are checking out of our on-line shop
the address begins with "https://". This indicates that the transmission is incrypted
and very difficult to read when intercepted inappropriately.
When doing business with web-sites, do not provide credit information without
the incryption security.
