Pages are updated from this site when they are loaded [brought onto the screen]. As a result, the date and time on the
home page are correct when loaded onto your comuter and it doesn't change the time until it is loaded again. [Note: The date
and time are provided by your settings on your computer, if they are set incorrectly, the date and time on this page will
also be incorrect.]
Also, to improve speed, your browser will "cache" pages on your computer so that they can be viewed off-line or without
reloading them. As a result, the settings on your computer may not bring a newly changed page to your comput, but use the
old page from a previous viewing.
This problem can be corrected in two ways:
- On an individual page basis, press the refrest button/icon on your browser. This will force the reloading of the information
from the web instead of using information stored in your local cache.
- Set the parameters in your browser for storing and using cache. For Internet Explorer it is located under Tools, Internet
Options, General tab, Temporary Internet Files Settings.
Also, many pages look at your Regional Settings and generate the date and time based on Greenwich Mean Time. If your
regional settings are not correct, then you time will be off in terms of hours. This can be corrected by setting your time
zone to the correct one that you are in.
