Have Winners! That’s
right: three winners!
First place goes to Lori Allison who was 8 fat quarters from the perfect count. She can choose her 13 fat
quarters from all of the pre-cut fat quarters in the shop! Second goes to Vicky Dukes and third goes to Karen Schofield.
Each can choose their 13 fat quarters from the “No-Bolt” fat quarter selection! That’s three winners for a total of 9 ¾ yards
of free fabric!
The range of estimates were
from 550 to 8,458. That's the largest range I can remember [excluding Velvet's guess of 999,999 last year]. What was nice
was that the participants took more note this year as to the number of fat quarters that were in the shop. The chance of winning
this year was 1 in 11.

Just to give you an idea of the breadth and depth of our fat quarter collection, the 2011 year-end inventory
count showed we had 4,208 fat quarters! Thats 1,052 yards of fabric in fat quarters, a retail value of $11,993, or around
100 bolts of fabric! I don't know about you, but I've been to a LOT of quilt
shops over the last 20 years, and some didn't even have that much fabric in the entire shop!
I doubt if anyone caries as many fat
quarters as we do. Fat quarters have become one of our hallmarks. They make it easier for your to peruse the shop to match
fabric.
