A heartfelt and HUGE thank you to everyone that participated in our Quilt Pink event, held September 30th in conjunction with Better Homes & Gardens American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine. The event raises money for the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
In six hours the participants and volunteers pieced 355 6½” blocks either purchased by the participant or donated earlier by individuals who couldn’t attend the event.
Forever
In Stitches arranged the blocks into two quilt tops. The queen size and the
full size (shown at left), were long
armed and then bound. Both quilts will
be on display at the store until November 30th before being shipped
to Better Homes & Gardens for auction.

grade from
The children sewed the blocks in the church basement with the guidance of mothers and other volunteers. Once the top was pieced the class took a field trip to our store this past Monday, where they all participated in using the long-arm and its computer to start the quilting on their project quilt.
Congratulations to Tim Falk of Bluffton for winning the
Pirate Football Quilt. Tickets were sold
at Forever In Stitches and by the cheerleaders at all Bluffton HS home
games. The raffle raised $404 for the
Bluffton HS Football Cheerleaders.
Mark your calendars for the beginning of the holiday season. Saturday, November 11th, Bluffton businesses are sponsoring their Holiday Open House. Many of the stores will be having gift drawings, prizes and product discounts.

year’s 2007 Thimbleberries “House and
Garden” Big Club Quilt is very beautiful. It comes in two color ways: the “Light & Bright” and the “Warm & Cozy”. The quilts are 96” x
118” (queen-size).
Club members are provided with:

All fabric for the blocks, sashings,
borders and bindings of the Big Club Quilt.

Four quarterly project patterns, which
include the instructions for the Big Club Quilt.
·
12 monthly newsletters.
·
12 additional project sheets.
Register
early to reserve your membership. They are limited in number and can not be
expanded.
In-Store
Club membership requires:

An initial, non-refundable payment of
$25 is due at registration. You can register on-line.
·
A monthly payment of $16 is due when
you pick up your packet.
·
Packets may be picked up any time
within the month in question. (There are no late or substitute fees)
·
You agree to complete the club upon making
the initial payment as we will have purchased the fabric and pattern booklets
for you in advance.

However until recently there wasn’t much to view. As of October 1st, we have loaded 16 full collections into the web store and every new collection received from now on in our physical store will be added to the web.

Spring” challenge.

will be awarded to two winners. One
voted on by employees of FIS and one by customer vote. 2nd place customer vote will be
awarded if Employee & Customer’s #1 same quilt. Winners will be announced

Vertical Style
Sampler Wallhanging (Must be longer than
it is wide), 18” or less width, 36” or less length
·
Must contain ALL of the challenge fabric
pieced into the top, not appliquéd.

Must contain at
least one rabbit
·
Quilt does NOT have to be quilted and
bound.
·
Quilt must contain
Two 9-Patch blocks (of any size)
·
One entry per
person
·
Owner’s name and
phone number must be attached to the back of quilt.

Thread charges is now based on a “per bobbin” usage rate, previously a flat $3.50 rate was used.
The answer is - Right beside us. We’ve taken over the office space connected to our building and moved the training room and Rick Grihalva’s office over there. It’s much quieter away from the Longarm machines and larger too.
Eventual we plan to cut an archway in the wall to connect the space. When scheduled for a class, we recommend parking in the back parking lot and using the back entrance to the training facility.
