Forever
in Stitches announces the release of a new block of the month series.
This
spectacular 12 month project is very different from our previous BOM’s. The piecing of each blocks is the same,
however 19 different fabrics in shades of mauve, green and brown/gold change
from block to block giving each one a different look. It also features 3 different background
prints. Most of the fabrics in use are from
Thimbleberries & Maywood Studios.
The pieced 12” [finished] blocks are increased to 17” [finished] blocks when set with a Thimbleberries trellis print.
Block #1 is available now, but hurry as membership is limited to 49 members based on fabric limitations. To join you must come to the store, we will not reserve memberships request via phone or emails.
BOM Details:
· BOM is paid 6 months at a time. $30.00 (+ tax) is paid in August 2007 to start and $30.00 (+ tax) is paid in February 2008.
· Blocks can be picked-up any day of its designated month, but can not be picked up earlier than 1st of the month.
· One BOM (12 blocks) per customer
· At end of 12 months BOM will have provided twelve 17”(finished) blocks. Sashing & Borders are not considered part of the BOM.
· BOM’s first month is August 2007 and last month is July 2008.
· A $1 incentive coupon will be attached to all blocks (except Aug’s) during their designated month of pick-up. If blocks are picked up in person each month this coupon lowers your overall cost of the BOM to $4.00 per month. There is no additional cash penalty for picking blocks up late or having a friend pick them up for you, however you do not receive the $1 incentive coupon.
· $1 coupon can be used to purchase anything at FIS, except PMS projects.
· We will not mail blocks to members, however consider having a friend mail them to you.
· At end of BOM in July 2008 members have thru until September 2008 to pick up any remaining blocks. We will not hold old blocks beyond that date.

With the success of last year’s Quilt Pink Event this year the event has been expanded to three days Sept 21 – 23.
Quilt Pink is a national quilting event sponsored by BH&G American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine to raise money to fight breast cancer.
Visit quiltpink.com for more details.
For Quilt Pink Forever In Stitches we will be making blocks and assembling the blocks into two queen size quilts. We need volunteers. Our event hours will be Friday & Saturday 9:00 – 5:30 and Sunday 1:00 – 5:00.
Please let us know if you can volunteer your time at the event when you stop by the shop or call us 419-358-0656 or email RuthG@fisllc.com. Bring your own machine to the event or use one of our classroom machines.
Whether or not you can volunteer to help sew, consider making a small donation. These donations will help defray the cost(not retail price) of fabric, batting & backing for the two quilts.
Everyone
who volunteers or donates towards this worthy cause will be entered in our
drawing for $150 in prizes. The drawing
will be at 5:00pm on Sunday, September 23rd.
Saturday, September 29th is the third annual free Bluffton Scrap Artist Quilter’s Fall Festival Quilt Show. This is a highly attended one day quilt show where hundreds come to peruse the diverse and beautiful quilts.

As was done last year, another club(s) will be invited to show their quilts too.
Please check our web-site for more, up-to-date information on this show. The information will be updated almost daily from now until the show. The site is at www.fisllc.com/id339.html.
